What lights you the f*ck up?
Shine for me. Let me reflect it back to you.
I am following the people, places, ideas, art, work, rituals, obsessions, and weird little things that make being here feel worth it.
Something feels off.
The world I thought I was preparing for does not really exist.
I did what I was told. I worked hard. I was responsible. Useful. Impressive.
For what?
I am tired of playing small. I am tired of living by rules I never agreed to, especially the one that says work gets the best hours of my life.
I want more beauty. More freedom. More meaning. More connection and community. More art.
I do not know exactly where that leads yet. So instead of waiting until I have a perfect answer, I am following a question.
What lights you the f*ck up?
I know how to notice.
Connect with people.
Take photographs.
Tell stories.
Make things with my hands.
Right now, that includes covering shit in tiny mirrors because apparently that lights me the fuck up.
But disco is not the point.
Aliveness is.
I am asking the universe to show me more of it.
Show me.
Bring me the thing you cannot shut up about.
The weird hobby.
The community you love.
The outfit that makes you feel like yourself.
The organization doing beautiful work.
The person who comes alive when they talk about something.
I want to see it.
SHOW MEFour people or families. Two organizations.
Six stories to start.
A small beginning. And a little nod to 42, because apparently we are asking questions about life, the universe, and everything.
No creative fee.
Bring me something real. Let me photograph it, ask questions, and see what happens when someone pays close attention to the thing that makes you shine.
In return, I ask for honest feedback and permission to share selected work.
Travel or unusual material costs get discussed first.
Nominate someone.
Yourself. Someone you love. A family. An organization doing beautiful work. Tell me who they are and what lights them up.
OPEN THE FORMHelp me keep following the question.
Buy me a beer.
Buy me flowers.
Fund some whimsy.
Put gas in my car.
Buy disco mirrors.
Help fund a photo story.
Support whatever strange beautiful thing comes next.
I do not know what this becomes yet.
That is kind of the point.
